Hey All! I'm Back!

Wow, I can't believe it's nearly the end of January already?! It's been a looooong time since I have been on the 'Massage Teaching Scene', and I wanted to let you know I'm back! If you haven't signed up for my Newsletter you may have missed the news. I wanted to let you know what's happening in 2023. Many of you may already know, I previously taught Beginner's Level 1 Lomi Lomi for Continuing Education Credits with The B.C. College of Massage Therapists. The College of Massage Therapy no longer supports the foundational knowledge in other traditions and therefore Lomi Lomi massage will no longer be approved by the CMT.

As a teacher, this was a bit of a set back as I am passionate about Lomi Lomi massage. So I went back to the drawing board and have been restructuring and recreating course material for this requirement in the hopes being accepted for accreditation. It has been a process, let me tell you! The new name of my courses that are inspired by Hawaiian Massage is Forearm Flow©. Forearm Flow© courses are designed to help Registered Massage Therapists better utilize their forearms and elbows while improving their own body awareness. In each Forearm Flow© course you will learn practical detailed techniques that help eliminate occupational strain of your fingers, thumbs and wrists. Not only is Forearm Flow© developed to enhance the career longevity of the massage therapist, it also builds upon the core components of an RMTs’ practice: assessment, treatment, and home care.

PLEASE NOTE: If you have taken Level 1 Lomi Lomi with me in the past, you will have the equivalent of Forearm Flow© level one.

What's New?

There will also be some changes to the website this year with more information on upcoming courses and locations for Continuing Education Training. So stay tuned and check-in regularly for the latest information regarding courses dates and retreats. Sacred Modalities is based on ancient healing modalities, Earth-based practices, and sacred wisdom from many cultures. It offers new and experienced healers alike the opportunity to explore and learn in an inclusive and respectful space. If you are passionate about holistic living for the mind, body, and spirit, there will be online courses, workshops, and other offerings. So check it out in the link at the bottom of the news letter! Continuing Education Retreat Anyone?

Want to join me in 2024 for a Continuing Education Retreat? What about on the beautiful shores or Waikiki in Hawaii? There's nothing like combining learning with a wonderful vacation! I'm putting it out there to see if there is an interest in this type of experience. Waikiki has something to offer for everyone. Whether it's chilling on the beach, hiking Diamond Head, strolling Duke's night Market or taking a scenic tour, the island of Oahu has it.
